The Joomla CMS uses a XML document to install its templates.
Our wizard saves you an untold amount of time on writing and updating files to the Joomla XML file.
Just to give you an idea every file in your template directory needs to be added to your XML file its a lot of work.
No worries we have you covered with the wizard it even gets nested folders.


Update XML details
This wizard does a few functions at once in order to save you time.
It reads the existing templateDetails.xml file for your current information like template folders name, version number etc.
Then checks for new files, module positions etc. and re-writes them.

Do not add any special characters or code tags like HTML or XML etc. to the fields.


Please note: That to update a template xml file you need to have the index.php open for that template
in order for the wizard to work.

Also to rename the template you need to close any open documents that are in the template folder that your about to rename.
Then rename the folder open the index.php page and re run the update XML Details button a click Add.
By renaming the template folder you may have to upload the rename template folder to your Joomla installation
you will have to copies but different names.
